So the media (who was actually THERE) goes with Microsoft and the VGC voting community (that largely WASN'T there) overwhelmingly goes with Sony.

And this community is not biased? Really?

Anyway, MS had the best conference because they got down to business and showed us trailer>live demo>rinse-and-repeat. It was the most interesting and entertaining to watch because of the WAY it was presented. Forget the talk and stats that should be part of a BOARD meeting and show us people playing games live and then leave us with something forward thinking for the industry. It was great to watch and hardly ever dragged (once you got past The Beatles ...). You can't argue this point unless you're a fanboy. Seriously.

Well apparently we are looking for totally different things in E3 from your bolded statement.

I can seriously care less about HOW the information was presented, all I care about is the actual info. So for me(and apparently everyone else in this site according to you) saw Sony as the clear victor. If "presentation" were everything I could sell you a bannana and make it sound like the second coming of Jesus, but If I am talking in a very drull voice about an IPOD, a bannana, and for half the price all of a sudden you don't want it.

It is the content of the show that matters, not the presentation.

And as far as the media goes, all of them don't feel exstatic about MS's either. From what I have seen, it's pretty mixed. Only thing is, MS's was shown first. The idea wasn't quite as fresh once Sony's conf. came around. I refer you to Gametrailers.com's Invisible Walls video.
