The only thing that bothers me about the whole thing is that HD-DVD is an inferior product :/ that cost's more to invest in >< The player is the only thing cheaper, the disks are over-run with combo dvd's which cost more, and the specs of the two disks themselves heavily favor Bluray. /sigh

Specs dont totally really mean anything if you take side by side comparisons and cant tell a difference. And how is HD DVD cost more to invest in?

its not all about Video, the bitrate factor and size is important becaus eonly a certain amount of information can pass a given time...with HD DVD bit rate toppe dout lower than BD you cant run the audio and video together during "hectic" scenes, and then you take into account the size, as the aforementioned post talks about king kong where the audio wouldnt fit, let alone pass with bitrate.

Go ahead an dlook at some of your favorite HD DVD releases...all the day and date ones, even most that arent...they are all roughly $5 more than their BD counterparts becaus eof the combo...so you pay mor eupfront for the hardware, but over time, the software saves you money....obviously this will most likely desintigrate but fo rnow, if you bought a stadalone of each and roughly 40 movies the whole package would cost you more for HD DVD.
