Ahh the good ol' format war, well I'd like to put a side note in on the whole perspective, the ONLY advantage HD-DVD has on Bluray is the fact that their player are cheaper, which at the moment isnt translating into much considering they HAVE to stay under bluray player prices, which also translates into poor 3rd party delopement hardware wise, if you take a look at almost all the other major hardware dev's, they all back Blu, y'know the player that they could still make money on lol. Its burning a hole in toshiba's wallet daily, and theyre software sales aren't doing so hot either.
Not to leave out this christmas season looks to be enormous for blu-ray, (think of all those summer films), and contrary to what Madskillz says, if you took away the PS3, they only have a few points lead, the competition would be way more head to head than it is now, they wouldent be "killing" them.
The only thing that bothers me about the whole thing is that HD-DVD is an inferior product :/ that cost's more to invest in >< The player is the only thing cheaper, the disks are over-run with combo dvd's which cost more, and the specs of the two disks themselves heavily favor Bluray. /sigh
From 0 to KICKASS in .stupid seconds.
