I have went from not caring about this at all during the press conference, to somewhat interested. After hearing Jack Trenton, Shuhei Yoshida, and many others at Sony talk about how they want to make real games using this tech, I think I may actually be able to accept motion as a form of game control.
One thing that I think is funny, is all the people so hyped on voice recognition, and vocal comands. Games have been doing this for years. Hell Singstar on the PS3 has had voice command for months already. All these things are is a software program. If you have a microphone, and a powerful enough device, it can be controled by voice.
Now here is what I am hoping for. Insomniac games needs to step to the forefront. I want Resistance 3 to be motion only. There is no reason for the game to control any other way. With the pin point accurcy of this device, it should become the standard for all PS3 FPS's from the day it launches.
Then I really hope a team at Sony has piggy backed that tech demo with the sword, shieild, and bow and arrow. It is really to bad this will nolt be out this fall, because Assasins Creed 2 would be a perfect game for this.
For my final call out. I want the king of all mini game collection. I am talking, a mini game collection that is built around the capabilities of the PS3 and Blu-ray. Exersice, Sports, minigames, and more. Basically, they should have a piece of software that shows every tech demo they have for this thing. Get the publics imagination rolling, and get people in the dev community listening.
Here is an awsome thing that Sony did with the Eye Toy that I would love to see in like a future tennis game. You could step off screen with the Eye Toy and take a picture. The ET would then render everything in the background into a green screen. With the power of the PS3, I would like to see Sony render that background into the arena. Then you walk onto the screen. To the person you face online it looks like you are standing in the 3D arena holding a racket. This is a very basic conect that Richard Marks demoed on the PS2 back in 2006. It is slightly more advanced, but the PS3 and EYE are much more than a slightly advanced PS2 and ET. This would be the kind of stuff that sparks the consumer frenzy towards PS3 over the other forms of motion.
Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter.
