Capcom is doing its job: Making games for the biggest audience it can find.

Anyone remember the Capcom 5, 5 exclusive Gamecube games released by Capcom?

Dead Phoenix: Cancelled

Red Dead Revolver: Cancelled, but Rockstar picked it up and published it on the PS2

Viewtiful Joe: Started on the GC, but low sales forced a PS2 port. Series became multiplatform at that point.

Resident Evil 4: GC timed exclusive, PS2 version came out 6 months later. (Later made a Wii port)

Killer 7: GC/PS2 multiplatform release.

Capcom simply looked at the platforms, realized which system had the biggest userbase and made games for it. I'm not surprised Capcom decided to cut development costs and move to a bigger userbase.

Those games were only coming to the Wii originally because the designer of DMC/RE2 loved Nintendo's outlook on games and really wanted to make games for their system.  Also RE4 wasn't one of their five, it was P.N. 03, which came out and sucked.  The point of those five was that they were all-new IPs, which was a break from capcom's general strategy of pooping out sequels like they'd swallowed a gallon of laxatives.
