I didn't mention price.
My point was about choice, nothing more. If you don't feel the PS3 is worth $500-$600, you can choose not to buy it.
If you want to argue that we'd be better off with one console, that would be a possible argument to my point.
If you want to argue about price, you're building a strawman against my point. Totally irrelevant.
