| waron said: Forza 2 picked up when it hit Xbox 360 Classics series, so i guess that on hype alone it should sell atleast 3-3.8mln especially when gamers know that there won't be GT5 for a long time. both ps360 owners will pick it up, 360 owners, some ps3 only owners will buy 360 for this game and people who didn't buy console before cause they were waiting for big racing sim will buy one for this game(and for the people who will immidiately say that they didn't buy one when Forza 2 went on the market - people were waiting for GT5 thanks to hype sony is making with this series and Forza wasn't well known back then). i think in 2 weeks Forza 3 should hit about 900-1000k alone especially that it will be released on 32+mln consoles(Forza 2 was release when there was only 10mln 360s on the market). plus it will be released before christmas and that alone will help to move atleast 2.5mln copies by the end of the year. and then there are bundles, Xbox360 Classics series, pricecuts, possible re-releases etc. |
Racer/GT fans know GT5 is coming they just saw a trailer, to bad for you but thats plenty enough to stop then from ever buying a 360 for F3.
It took F2 18 weeks to break 1m, F3 will not do it in 2 weeks dude Forza is not GT get it through you're head. Just like no other shooter has Halos immediate selling power no other racer is in GTs sales league.
Even with heavy bundling and classic, Forza has proven that 4m is as far as it franchise selling capability goes. F3 will struggle to match that let alone to surpass it to reach +5 million.
Holiday release yes its good but there will also be hell of alot competition, 360 is a shooter dominated console and 1 week after F3 is released CoD MW2 will drop and destroy its sales. You're 900/1m sales in 2 weeks prediction is not gonna happen.
