Another interesting quote of note in the article is Iwata's quote saying that Nintendo is gearing up and is going to go after the hardcores now, and that Monster Hunter 3 is just the beginning.
Sounds like there was some moneyhats involved and I can't wait what Nintendo has in store now that they have tons and tons of spare cash lying around.
