Wii Motion Plus is out now, Sony's wands perhaps by xmas 2010 if you're lucky, they need to make some games for it before they can release it.
The biggest killer for Sony is that it's just an accessory and it now suffers from chicken vs egg syndrome. No one will buy it unless there are games with motion controls and no one will develop games based on motion controls unless people buy the wands. Sony will get some 1st parties onto it, but they won't get 3rd party support until they see what the sales are like.
Nintendo has motion control built into every game, motion plus will be just added accuracy, it also has a killer app in Wii Sports Resort plus it's a cheap enough accessory that it can be bundled with other games like Tiger Woods & Red Steel 2
The same is not true for the Sony product, people will probably need to pay almost the cost of a new Wii to get the Sony motion controls added to their already expensive PS3.
