The last console to have a bundled game at launch was Super Nintendo.
You can even go back and watch old E3 when Nintendo talked about Wii sports being bundled for confirmation or Wiki it but having been old enough to be there all along I know.
Handhelds are a different story but Gameboy the original was launched with Tetris as a bundle.
DS is was the Metroid Hunters demo.
I think if Nintendo wanted to still do the Wii bundle is offer a couple sku's,one with the newer Wii Sports resort with WM+ and the other with NSMBWii,I won't get into the black wii yet or other possible colours.
At some point they will have to switch out Wii sports for Wii sports resort with WM+ packed in as more games start using it,since many consumers may go home with a system and lets say pick up a WM+ only game but is unaware it needs it despite it saying on the box(trust me so many people buy things oblivious about the product they buy) then come back angry wondering why it won't work wanting money back.
Just common sense and the sooner the better.
