Why r ppl pissed off by the "PS3 is the future believe" thing...again?

You're a smart guy..and I respect that, but you can't trust in something that can't betray you, and faith is a bit too extreme. But a person can believe in anything. Anything at all...people used to believe the world was flat, that there was a god (Helios) carrying the sun back and forth. A person can believe in himself, or someone else. Believe is about as neutral as it gets.

To me the words are pretty much interchangeable. Faith = belief = trust to some extent. How can you for example believe in something that can never betray you? What kind of statement is 'My toaster will warm the bread... B_E_L_I_E_V_E?
