It takes much less time to make 400 cars to look great than it does to make 800 cars look great.
Do not forget, the original Gran Turismo took 5 years to complete as well. These games take time, but in the end they are worth every minute you waited.
To people thinking double the content and pretty much a Nascar, WSR, GT game all in one should release in the same time frame as a game without the Nascar, without the WSR and half the cars and without without the real life tracks is absolutely insane.
Sorry to say this, but it doesn't work that way.
From what I heard they do not pay to include these cars, so even when it comes to damage they need to make it as perfect as possible as well. Turn 10 making Forza and PD making GT are completely different situations, please understand this.
