The thing is that this isn’t about Microsoft, if history is correct, this is about Sony. I would have to argue that a Microsoft motion controller was done only because a Sony motion controller would be done.

I mean even down to the Eye Toy replication, Nintendo doesn’t have an Eye toy.

I guess eliminating Microsoft from the mix, this is just exactly what Sony has been doing.

D-Pad standard, Analog, Rumble and Shoulder buttons; the only difference is that Nintendo wasn’t caught with its pants down this time around, because usually the Sony replicates are better than the function Nintendo pioneered – of course the Sony controller (if standard) could actually be better than the Wiimote +, I know a lot of non-gaming media in EU are loving it.

Add Microsoft to the mix and you have a red ocean for precision controls… But it depends, if Nintendo can get more than 70% of the software being released for Q3 to Q2 being M+ compatible and/or BB+ compatible then any effort made by Sony or Microsoft would unless done in at the same time in the image of Nintendo. (That’s all 1st party) Third party games haven’t proven yet to be able to sell Nintendo consoles the way that 1st party games do.

Funny thing though, is that people I’ve seen are simply confused by what they have seen of the Xbox controller and relate it to Minority Report. ^_^ Granted I believe surface was a closer fit. But if Nintendo can sell A LOT of Wii Motion+ based games for the next 2 quarters, then development for 1:1 controlled games by third parties will soon follow.

Finally though, looking at it from the development side, now there is no excuse for developers not to port down from the Wii to the PS360.

I'm Unamerica and you can too.
