With this Nintendo will accomplish two things:
1. Boost hardware sales. They realise that Monster Hunter 3 will be a big game in Japan and that the game is sought after by a new potentional group of gamers that may yet be untapped for the Wii.
2. This also shows that Nintendo is able and willing to support great thirdparty games. It�s like Nintendo saying: See, we do care about thirdparties and we do want them to succed on our console (of course it will also benefit Ninty themselves) ;)
