I think I want that new classic controller. The old one works great as an NES/SNES pad, but the thumbstick is damned awkward to use. I think the handgrips would help with that. Also the second pair of shoulder buttons are more accessible, which hasn't come up yet, but I suppose it might some day.
I know some people hate the cord, but I really don't mind it. It saves on the cost of wireless chips and batteries and I find it pretty unobtrusive.
