Yet another misinformed journalist thinking that Nintendo must pander to them in order to succeed in the market.
Despite last years awful show, how much have the DS and Wii userbases grown by? How much more money have Nintendo made?
And now Nintendo give their detractors what they want-more big core games, and they complain. Wii Motion Plus dead before it launches? This is by far the worst E3 related article I have read.
Nintendo's show was not breathtaking, but it was no bomb. They've shown guaranteed mega-hits in Galaxy 2, Wii Fit Plus and NSMB Wii. Combine that with the informal announcement of Zelda for next year and Wii's future is looking fine.
Like I said, Nintendo don't pander to journalists or 'the industry'-they appeal to an incredibly broad market. That's where their success comes from. I find it tough to see Sony or Microsoft replicating such success effectively.
