NSMBWii - Anyone else kinda disappointed about characters?

I'm hoping the second Toad is a placehoder. Would be great if they have a wide variety of unlockable characters. Even if they don't, it's the first 2D Console Mario since SMW in 1991, so, yeah, I'll take it. :D
