There's no need for first party if third party is your bread and butter. Folks want to get P.A.I.D. in full. What they should do is - buy a game, the publishing rights and put the devs and the like on a contract. There's no need to gobble up studios. Get them to make a game. Retain the rights. Get paid.
First party works on Ninny, but now, look at the top 25 games on both HD consoles. How many are first party? 5 are first party. Look at Sony. 10.
True, games move systems, but in the end, if it's a good game, buy it. Let others whine and moan. Business is about getting an advantage over your competitor. Beg, borrow, cheat and steal - but get an edge.
