I still don't know what the Vitality Sensor does, because they wouldn't demo it, Iwata just spoke about it.

Cmon man, you're smarter than that. It's a heart rate monitor. Most obvious use is cardio exercise in fitness games.

I don't know. Iwata had a lot of lengthy speak about it. It doesn't help that it's the only peripheral ever Nintendo didn't showcase alongside software. That has always been the crux of the success of their peripherals, engaging software to be packaged and used with them. Without the software then who gives a shit? Just buy a heart monitor. Here's hoping it's more than that though, but I supposed it's possible it's just a reworking of the pedometers they package with Personal Trainer Walking. Nice sure, but nothing ground breaking. Without an exceptional piece of software, Balance Board this will not be.

true, but I think that this device relays the info back to the console, keeping track of heart monitoring. heart rate during exercise is very important in measuring calorie burn.

Besides, I could see side uses, like adrenaline detection in fighting games, horror games, etc. Imagine an Eternal Darkness 2 that links the sanity meter to your heart rate?
