In my mind, for any of this to make sense to me, it goes a bit like this.
The 360 will last at the very least 3 more years (so at least till 2012). Natal will release in 2010, sometime in the middle/end of the year. They have then 1.5 (or more) years to essentially have people test it for them. They then go back to the drawing board and make some necessary tweaks. The perfected Natal (Natal2) is packed in with the Nextbox.
In my scenario, they wouldn't necessarily make very much money in the short run (in fact, they'd probably lose some money), but by having them produced, the components will go down in price for the Natal2. The bundled Natal2 could help offset the price of the Nextbox, so they wouldn't lose as much as they did off the bat with the 360.
