It's not that hard to develop a few games concurrently. Take for example The Conduite & The Grinder. What difference are these games? They are both FPS, this means that the core programmer don't need redo the FPS elements again. They will need a programmer to put in specific features though. Like the extra monsters and monster AI. Once the artists were done on the The Conduit they switched to other games.
Games like DMC, AC2.... tend to have a single team develop a single game. Even when a part is done the team doesn't really move on. So a team doesn't do concurrent development.
Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.
