My Theory as to why the Wii is selling so well

The Nintendo fanboys all bought gamecubes, but it was so bad and they couldn't stand it, they were eagerly waiting until the next Nintendo console came out. The only reason that the Wii is selling so well is because the gamecube was so bad. All the Nintendo fans needed a replacement for such a poor system last generation. The swift selling of the Wii is only a reflection of how bad its predecessor was. Once the Wii reaches the exact sales of the gamecube, it will drop off, and the fad will end.

 

This is only my theory, please don't bash me. I know that this is a revolutionary look at the market, and it is going to make a lot of you uncomfortable, but please don't let that discomfort turn into flames.

Tell you what. If I could go back in time, and have my memory erased and the only thing I could change was that console my friends and I all bought, (we all had the same) I would buy a Gamecube over again. I loved my gamecube. It had roughly the same number of good games as Playstaion 2 imo, but many of them were fun for everyone, and could be played with 4 people. PS2 only 2 could play, and was much more emphasis on single palyer. Outside of Halo and Madden and Star Wars battlefront, Xbox didn't have much to offer me either. My opinion is important because you are labeling Nintendo fans 9which I most definatly am) when you yourself are (very liekly) not one. I also happen to know many people who own Wii's and Ds's... most of my friends actually own Xbox 360s... the people who own Wiis seem to be mostly 30-45 year old females, and it seems everyone has a Ds, but alot of 5-15 year old girls do.

What percentage of Ps3 owners are female? Or what percent of 360 owners are female? According to Nitnedo power, 33% of Wii primary owners are female...

 

BTW there is nothing revolutionary about a "Gamecube sucks" theory.

 I know man, I totally agree.  Well I thought that PS2 and Xbox had some good games, but Gamecube truly was the best for me. I have somewhere like 70-80, maybe even 90 games!  If someone wants to count for me, please do it!  Also add one to whatever your total is, cause I got a new one recently but it isn't in the picture.

 

My girlfriends mom wants a Wii for christmas.  She lets me sleep over at their house if I bring the Wii.  Sounds like a good deal to me!  It really is incredible what Nintendo has done with the Wii and DS.
