ufc regularly beats boxing in ppv?
you better check your numbers again son. the last manny pacquiao fight brought in 1.6 million ppvs. de la hoya's last fight with him (wherein he looked like shit) took in a further 1.3 million ppvs.
ufc struggles to make a million. in fact, it's biggest fight in recent memory was the randy vs. brock fight, which generated around 950k buys. the others are usually around 300-400k.
ufc IS a niche market. it's growing, sure, but it still hasn't quite hit the mainstream yet. GSP is the first person to actually have mass marketing attached to him (big contract with Gatorade).

kid boxing has one fighter that sales ppvs and rest are crap.
UFc ppvs are 3 weeks apart and pull in 500k time and time agian, while most boxing cards dont even get ppv thats how weak boxing has gotten.
In the US Boxing is weak mma is killing it. On Spike now on showtime and soon enough mma will be back on prime time tv. Boxing is gettign its ass kicked, one big card a year dones not out do all the UFCs success.
Both are niche markets, but with out DLH US boxing has lost its last big star.
