Remember that we're talking about Japan. FFXIII will sell 500-700k first week in Japan. It wont be 1.5 M like you guys think.

Secondly, i'll make a bet with you that Mass Effect 2 scores higher on average with reviews. Loser puts on their sig that the opposing game owns for the rest of their days on this board.

You went kind of far from what the orignal topic was but I am still willing to make a 1 month long avatar/signature bet with you as far as review average. I don't think that putting the opposing game owns is enough because I'm sure I'll agree that ME2 is great.  what reviews are we basing this on? how many reviews in for each game when we stop tracking?

Actually, it was always my bet that FFXIII wont crack a million the first week in Japan. It will probably get there and beyond during the second week or after. I think FFXIII will be fun, but I've lost my itch for FF games over the years as they've grown to be bland. I believe JRPG's will not have a good run right now in the gen because it will be moving along slowly (even in Japan). FFXIII will break the mold for JRPG sales, while increasing PS3 console sales, seeing that Japan is extremely biased. Well...i'm counting on that bias in Japan to start working in my favor. PS3 will be at six million consoles sold a year past the the launch of FFXIII, prepping the installed base in Japan for GT5 (This has always been my feeling). Sony should call for a price drop and that is another thing that the Japanese are eagerly waiting for.

You've got the bet for the 1 month long avatar/signature bet. You've also got another bet for FFXIII wont crack a million in one week in Japan. The few JRPG fans that bought 360's in Japan were screwed because of the bias of a majority and everyone should know it. I must give it to SE, they know how to bend over when nationally their decsions become unpopular.

Mass Effect 2 will have higher scores on average and we can pick the review and boards during their times of review. I'm also predicting that whatever year ME2 comes out, it will get GOTY or RPG of the year. They did it with the first ME and they'll do it again.

lol ok so now we got two bets just to clarify:

1 - month long avatar/signature bet (you control my avatar/sig for a month or vice versa) - i claim FFXIII will be reviewed higher than ME2. we will decide on the ground rules for this one when a release date is clarified for one of the two titles.

2 -I say FFXIII will crack a mill in Japan 1st week. You say it wont. We'll make this another month long avatar/signature bet for this?
