It's good to see others with the same issues speak up.  I'm with ya Griffin!  I've been a long time user of this site and have cut my page hits here in half for these exact reasons.  I also work in design and this is really a BAD design. 

You realize you've said not ONE constructive thing since the launch of the new site, right? Complaints, complaints, complaints and you are simply 'stuck' in your mind as to keeping the old colors. In your OPINION this is 'a BAD design' - thankfully, your opinion is not shared by everybody.

We're here now - the past is the past so please stop living there. Let's try to move past the 'I want the old site' mentality and move to the present where we are now. I know it may be difficult for you, but you really must try.

We've been working our asses off around here, trying to appease every single issue that was reported by every single user - yet here you are, thankless as you've been since the very first day this came out. You're obviously not going to be satisfied until we redesign the entire site to suit your specific needs, so maybe this isn't the place for you???

 

I'm not sure if any, all or part of that was directed at me Talonman. 

But i'm sure you guys have been working your asses off the entire time trying to get the new VG up.  And trying to fix all the errors like the slow speed and whatever other things happened to go wrong. 

But an option to allow users to change the colours of the site has always been suggested since aslong as i have been here and i can't recall a reason as to why its not an option.  Since i'm no coder i would have no idea if this is a hard task but i have seen it in many other forums i have been to in the past and it seems to be liked by all.  But i have never seen a black website out of all the ones i have ever visited.

But thanks again to ioi and the rest of VG staff for trying their best to give us a site that they feel would be best for the community.  I remember back when this site was nothing, and you guys have really showed a dedication to the site and trying to bring the best forward with each week.
