PS3 at 7 cores, blu-ray, tons of 3rd party support, online, HD and others after 2,5 years is ahead of GC (no 3rd party support, weak Nintendo at the time, limited disk size, launched a year after PS2) and xbox (first entry in business, lousy 3rd party support at start, very high price at start, no 1st party support, launched a year after PS2) by 8 mln.
PS3 is also ahead of x360 by 3,5 mln., which cost $279 for X360 Arcade and $349 for 20GB Premium on it`s 3rd year by that time (at a time when the competition was at its peak, RRoD was in a rampage, HD format war ended in favor of PS3, Wii sales exploded, ect)
