Time is the one thing definitely not on Israel's side. Isreali-Arab population far outpaces even the most religious zealot jew. I think the last projections stated that by 2020 or something Jews will be the minority AGAIN. So, its only a matter of time when the Arab vote is strong enough to control Israeli government decisions. Also, with US showing real unbiased actions and siding more w/ Abbas, then the PA will gain more favor and Hamas will shrink. Obama is, so far, doing the best he can for the situation. Just wish he could have been there before Bush and before this recent shift towards the right in Israeli politics. |
Not true. It's 2020 if you include all the Palestinians living on the WB and Gaza, but who cares? Only the million Arabs that are citizens of Israel can change Israel from within, and the "demographic bomb" alarms have settled, becasue in the last decade the nativity numbers for Jews and Arabs have changed drastically.
A decade ago, every Israeli Arab woman made on average ~6 children, today that number is only 3.8-3.9 and decreasing.
And meanwhile the Jews have started making more babies, going from some 2.4 per woman to 2..8 children per woman. And that number is expected to increase, beacuse the ultra-religions 1 million of orthodox Jews is increasing in proportion, and their women make on average 6-7 children. So it will take at least 100 hundred years before Arabs within Israel are in the majority (and by then, many of them may have been convinced to leave Israel, by being "bought out" and have emigrated to other countries - like Sweden for example lol)
