And I imagine whoever these handheld games got dumped to will not be working on KH3. The team that will, will be working hard on Versus XIII. |
*facepalm*
They are all spinoffs. Prequels are spinoffs too. BBS is a prequel to KH and 358/2 is a prequel to KH2. Both are new plot information, and both are absolutely spinoffs. And neither game is being made by the actual Kingdom Hearts team. Nomura is however the director for both games, and Watanabe is the scenario writer for both games (as well as the original KH games). Get over yourself. I expect better than this load of BS out of you.
I hate people sometimes.

Whether or not his use of the term spin-off is wrong, he still makes a point I kind of agree with. That being BBS being more involved in KH3 then 358/2 will be. This is only due to the plots in the games, one tells of Roxas and his 'adventures' in Org 13, the other involves totally new characters (where one apparently looks just like Roxas...I hate Roxas) and seems a bit out of place. Meaning that BBS is surely a prequal to KH3's plot. Much like Chains of Memories was to the start of KH2...
...unless I'm confusing things/myself.

You are. BBH is a prequel to KH, not to KH3. In other words as far as relevance goes it's probably the least relevant to the 3rd game. Giving nothing but history to the KH universe.
If you want to talk most relevant, KH: Coded is the only one that actually takes place after KH2. But since western cell phones are peices of shit, we won't see that outside of Japan.

Well, I wasn't talking about Coded for the reasons you mentioned. And my understanding is that 358/2 takes place during the events of the first Kingdom Hearts and tells what the Organization was doing.
I know Nomura is ultimately in charge of it, but the Kingdom Heartsteam isn't making these games. I thought it was similar to Final Fantasy IV DS where Matrix software did the actual porting with a few key guys overseeing the project.
