3D on its own was fun for a little while back in the early 1990s and then the gimick wore off ...
Just because 3D for the sake of 3D, HD for the sake of HD, or Motion controls for the sake of Motion controls are only enjoyable for a little while doesn't mean that they're going to disappear in favour of something that is arguably lower quality. Just consider that a couple more buttons added to the Wiimote and Nunchuck (or for the buttons to be rearranged) and the inclusion of MotionPlus in the Wiimote and Nunchuck gives you all the functionality of the Wii’s controller, all the functionality of the PS3/XBox 360 controllers and more.
