If a console requires its strongest line up to outsell a console during its weakest line up then it's not really saying much. Point still being that a dozen big games across 2.5 years has done little to put PS3 on top. It's doubtful the same theme over the next 2.5 will have any more dramatic effect. You're also forgetting/ignoring any major software, feature or price cuts of the other consoles. You can't just assume they're going to sit still for Sony. |
As I pointed out before, the software lineup we saw that put PS3 over Wii during that time is far from the strongest software lineup we're going to see coming to PS3. I still believe that in the last two to four years of its life, the software both in quality and amount that we will see coming to PS3 will rival what was seen on PS2 during its peak years.
