Oops. I forgot to mention I used the Wii version for the latest set. The rest were from the Gamecube version, but this is more convenient, as I only have to move one system to a PC.
It's cool. It's been noted for a while both versions have identical graphics, just the Wii version ads a little touch of allowing you to see what items are dropped. CTYD does that as well, so I'll compare that as well.
As for looking better, what I mean is that of course I want the pictures to look their best, but I put fairness first, as though it was a scientific experiment. In those you remove all other variables to make the relevant factors speak for themselves. In this case, turning up the brightness too high washes out details, which is the point of the scale comparison sets. The rest are to show how things are rendered, while this is to show what is being rendered.
So looking at that, the second exposure works best, but I still had to notify you all, and have your consent that the comparison is still fair.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
