Luigi's Mansion IS more of a Mario game than Smash Bros. It exclusively features characters contained in the Mario world. There's no Samus or Captain Falcon running around.
Every single game on your list either exclusively features Mario world characters, or has only a few cameos, except for SSX and Super Smash.
