I really think that a lot of the game's failure in sales was because of the horrible advertising Nintendo did. Not only did they wait forever to reveal it, but they did not do advertising at all in mainstream media.
This is really something Nintendo has to think about, since they literally killed a game which could have been Mario Kart's successor instead.
oh and Final-Fan, that gave you a big loss of respect right now...
