"History will look back on this as being the greatest comback in history of console sales wars."

No history will look back on this as a case study of how not to run a business. They've managed to bleed cash Sony couldn't afford making the product viable, they've thrown away a huge advanatage of brand loyalty, they've lost ground in every single market globally, finally they completely misjudged the pricepoint that customers would pay for their product.  The only positive the PS3 really brought short term to Sony was Bluray won the HD format war, which has proven a hollow victory given the global economy has taken a nose dive at a terrible time for emergent technologies to experience rapid growth.

Assuming that everything goes to plan as the OP thinks, the best Sony can do from this generation is finishing a distant second and perhaps come close to making back a small amount of the huge losses they've incurred.

Can we not just stop with these silly threads and just admit, it doesn't matter which HD console finishes where, both have built a big enough userbase to be a sustainable market for third party developers.
