Eh, *spoilers* I got the whole ATB field (Sp?) and how the very seperation between people is the essence of our individuality, I didn't get the Christian symbolism, the random vaginas, the opening scene (is that a jab against hentai, pornography, and the otakus?), the live action scene (again a jab at otakus), and the characters (I won't go as far as saying Shinji is a cry baby, but IDK, I just couldn't relate to them at this point like I couldn't at the end of the anime. They've all become too mentaly unstable and pretty much insane).
I don't like Superflat, and I don't really like post modern =/ I shouldn't be understanding a film after I watch it and discuss it in forums and reading analysis. Every work of art, whether it be paintings, MUSIC, or movies you should be able to understand and absorb AS you're experiencing it.
