Nintendo has done what for them is a mea culpa regarding last year -- so I think it plans to offer a bit more "red meat" to the OGE (obsessive gaming enthusiast -- formerly known as "hardcore" gamer).
Of course, everyone talks about last year as if it was a total failure. The first party Wii games featured that have been released have sold between 2.5M and 3.0M worldwide. Many of the third-party Wii games are at or near 1M or more. And the general writer for the AP loved it (the gaming writer for the AP loathed it).
In other words, there is the public who buys the Wii and then there is the gaming public that have Wiis. These two groups do not often agree.
Back to the OP -- I think Nintendo will have a surprise or two that people like/want/will buy. I plan to watch the presentation live at home with both TV and computer fired up.
