According to NPD, the average sale price of the X360 in the US is $270 meaning most X360 buyers are buying the higher end models, not the $200 Arcade SKU.   While $270 is still cheaper than the $400 price tag of the PS3, it should be understood the X360 is not half the price of the PS3 with regard to actual retail sales.

The above is based on US retail and sales only.   The situation may differ in other nations.

And why the Wii 3rd party jab?

The average price is $270? I know that the Arcade accounted for 50% of 360 sales. And btw there's different PS3 SKUs as well. Or did you forget about the $500 model?

The Arcade SKU does not account for 50% of sales according to NPD.  Also from NPD, it was stated the $400 PS3 model has a 9:1 sales ratio to all other PS3 models.

Again this is US only so it may be different in other nations but these are facts as they are provided by NPD.
