Cliff, longevity is consumer driven.   Sony won't support it if the consumers no longer want it and the developers won't support it if the consumers no longer buy their products.    Sony can only take it as far as consumers will allow it.   Sony doesn't dictate how long it lasts...we do.

That's right. And since the PS3 is selling on par with the 360 at double the price it is just as likely that the 360 won't last as long either. PS3 AND 360 going to die? No fraid not. PS3 is a great addition to HD adopters. While Wii is great for Wii fit and Wii sports.

It's not Sony's fault that Wii is getting paltry 3rd party support.
