But also looking at the inverted colours version made me crave a site with those colours. ioi you talk about how sites like Gamespot and iGN have a dark colour scheme but those sites have never really caught my eye for that reason.

I wouldn't mind that setup... I also feel the same way about sites with darker colors. I never liked them, vgchartz felt different.
