On average, those that are familiar with both control inputs agree that IR controls (stop saying motion controls) provide a more accurate and precise option over the dual analog method.
If you're not familiar with good IR controls (MP3: Corruption or CoD: WaW), I'd suggest you not donwplay them so much.
