You probably inserted some formatting. Try copying the text to notepad (not Word), clean totally your sig (make it empty) and recopy the text back

I've tried. If I delete everything, the white background remains.

Try using the delete row button (2nd row, 6th button)

I actually zoomed in a notch when 2.0 released, fits nicer on my screen (1440 x 900).

Because the text is way too small
