360 will be retired to make way for games like Gears 3 on 720 that Microsoft will need to have in order to sell their $500.00 next gen console. Even if I'm wrong and its not Gears 3 that will be the Nextbox's sale inspiring game and Gears 4 instead, it won't matter that much because the PS3 will still catch the 360 by the end of 2010 because the PS3 will keep getting more and better games from Japanese developers as a result of drastically improving sales for the console in Japan over the next 18 months while the 360 and PS3 will continue to get basically the same Western games in the foreseeable future and the 360 will continue to only be known by by most people for either Halo or Gears.
