High price is not an excuse, it is a failure on its own.
IF Sony would be able to drop the price of the PS3, they would win. Wow! And i the x360 would be free, they would win. BUT IT ISN'T!
Saying that the PS3 is doing well "despite its price" makes as little sense as saying that the Virtual Boy did well, for a console that HORRIBLY SUCKS.
