I bet they round up on all prices. Maybe the game came out to $50.34 but had to be rounded up to $59.99 to standardize the pricing.

Could be. Though the logical thing to do is round the price down since it is at $50.34. To round up it must be at least $54.45 since every number prior to the hundredth percentile will raise one unit higher than the original number was.

At least in the Continental US it is pretty cut and dry when it comes to the pricing. Our neighbors aren't so lucky (Including Alaska and Hawaii).

There's no such thing as rounding down when it comes to money. It's always CEIL.

Technically yes you are right and I give you that. But it is total BS that they can skip mathematical logic when it comes to cash/money and do this. Shouldn't they just put the price at $54.99 then? That is the real logical thing to do.

Seems like more companies could do better with Walmart pricing. Granted I dislike Walmart and their prices can be retarded ($59.22 for a game just sounds funky) but at least they don't mark prices up to squeeze every last penny out of the consumer.
