Yup, see this is why government should be given less power. They create waste...lots and lots of waste...come to think of it, so do unions, but thats another topic. Now I just received a message from a person who will remain anonymous because I don't want them to get flamed or anything. They completely failed to see the point I was making.

" I found your post quite offensive as there are so many things wrong with it. You don't know people or the circumstances or where/how they live. You presume that just because one has the internet they have money. You also don't know anything about their parents. My dad ran out on me when I was 1 and my mother has given 110% for me. I am going to report your post. "

This person did not stop to think about the fact that they can afford internet and a gaming console along with paraphernalia and games for it, and yet, they are on Welfare. Why the heck would you be wasting your money on things like that when you could be using it to save, or invest in something that will give you a return? Every little bit helps, take a look at my mom, she scrimped and saved to pay off $11,000 of credit card bills while my dad was only making $7.50 an hour. Guess how long it took? Three years. this is one example of how saving (even minuscule amounts) can add up.

Entitlement and playing the victim, these are the two human attributes that will forever exploit the Welfare system. You cannot lay around feeling sorry for yourself while you live off of somebody else's money. Get up and realize you are not going to get anywhere if you keep crying "poor me" you need to go out and make some changes somewhere in your life. Will it be easy? Hell no, it's an uphill struggle the whole way, but it is worth it!
