Why restrict yourself to one console?

He's getting at the fact that he already owns a Wii and a 360.

I'm not "getting at" anything at all. I'm saying plainly that it's a value comparison: a PS3 vs. that many games is not a contest.

Well you really can't use that logic if you're going to buy more than one console, otherwise: I'm not buying an Xbox, that's 6 PS2 games. Or, I'm not buying an N64, that's 7 PS1 games, or I'm not buying a Genesis, that's 8 SNES games. If it was always a "value comparison", no one would ever own more than one console since it's "not a contest"
