I hate to say it but honestly thats how I feel about "brown pride" too. I Used to be anti racist even know When I lived in certain parts of Ohio I got jumped for the color of my skin. But since living where I do now I find myself having a lesser view of Mexicans or Latinos. It's not a few people who affected me like this. It's that 80% of them (between the ages of 16-28) in my area try to be threatining and intimidating to everyone. Every single day on the news it's almost always (not always) a latino who murdered someone or commited a crime. The gangs are all latino related even know there are supposedly more whites in my area. It's like they are all pitbulls with there chest puffed out looking for fights.
Now this is not all latino people but thats the view around here and that is the main reason I'm moving to washington later this year. I've been jumped by mexicans twice since living where I do for the stupidest of reasons and I'm really beginning to to have negative feeligns towards all Latinos.
I know this post may cause a backlash but I'm just stating how it is where I live and how I feel about it. Don't take it personal.
