@mjorge11 - Well, the majority of people who are going to be buying PES will already have the console of which they are buying the game on as they probably would have got PES with the console during a previous installment.
What Sony hope people will be thinking is that now PES is being released and bundled on these new PS3s that their versions will be gimped and that this could possibly be the last installment of the game on the PS2 before all versions of PES are only made for current generation systems.
This could cause people to buy the PS3 version because they feel that the PS3 is the better version, the fact that it's bundled just sweetens the deal.

Or Sony could be thinking that the PS2 makes profit and the PS3 doesn't and they're trying to squeeze everything out of the PS2 this Christmas, as it probably is the last Christmas that the PS2 will see.

Any PES + PSP S&L bundles would do brilliantly as well.
