My parents are both Japanese, and I was born and raised an American. I hate the conservatives who shame the Japanese with their idiotic statements, but I also fucking hate the liberals who say we should be ashamed for things we never did (as in, the future generations weren't alive, nor participated in WWII's atrocities) and always talk down Japan.
I say that we shouldn't be proud of our ethnicity, and that looking at the accomplishments of those of the same ethnicity and taking credit for it is crappy and illogical behavior.
