The PS3 is still at a very high price so there can be many price cuts, big games, and a Slim PS3 to drive up the sales while the X360 can cut the price but it's already really cheap so it probably won't make that big of a deal, and X360 doesn't seem to have many big games coming out (at least for 2009), so the PS3 can easily outsell X360 in overall sales IMO. I think the fact that the 140 million selling, almost 10 year old PS2 going from a dirt cheap $129 to dirtier cheap $99 caused it to outsell the PS3 last month in America disproves that theory somewhat. As long as the Xbox is always cheaper than the PS3 then the sales will be close enough that I don't think the PS3 will ever catch it unless the 360 halts production before the PS3 does.
